A Full Planning Application has been submitted to Test Valley Borough Council by Muller Property Group for a purpose built 70-bedroom care home specifically designed for elderly residents who require end of life, dementia care, and those with complex health needs. The care home falls under planning Use Class C2 ‘Residential Institutions’ and will be registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
The site is within a sustainable location to the south of Goch Way where the principle for development is established by local planning policies.
The application has been made in response to the clear and growing need for additional care accommodation within the Borough. The combination of a rapidly ageing population, a current shortfall in provision, and an absence of pipeline developments all contribute to the growing need and importance of delivering new specialist facilities such as this.
The application has been subject to detailed understanding of the constraints and opportunities, followed by a pre-application enquiry, resulting in a high-quality scheme that responds appropriately to the site and surroundings.
