How we can help you:
Our role is to ensure that planning policy and constraints are fully understood and considered at the earliest stages of development, helping to achieve the best possible planning outcomes.
We now offer illustrative urban design services to support pre-application discussions, outline planning applications, and the preparation of Neighbourhood Development Plans. These services are intended to clearly communicate development principles and spatial ideas and to inform/guide architects and designers at a later stage.
Our work is illustrative. We do not provide architectural services or CAD drawings. All outputs prepared using graphic/design software and are suitable for planning, engagement, and policy-led purposes.
Whether you need initial advice, or you are ready to start your next project, contact Master Land & Planning to arrange a consultation.
To explore and communicate key ideas, issues, and design responses in a clear and accessible way.
Identifying opportunities and constraints, including access, scale, land use, and spatial structure.
Our local design guides can be used to communicate expectations on general design principles. They are shaped by a clear understanding of the local area’s qualities and opportunities. Our guides are concise, positive documents which are accessible and use tools such as illustrations and checklists to highlight key design issues and possible solutions.
Prepared to support early engagement in the planning process and outline planning applications. Levels of detail may include:
- Scaled illustrative layouts
- Overlay of technical or survey information (where provided)
- Indicative housing typologies and development form
Identifying opportunities and constraints, including access, scale, land use, and spatial structure.
Design codes are a set of illustrated design requirements that provide specific, detailed parameters for the physical development of a site or area. The graphic and written components of the code will build upon a design vision, such as a masterplan or other design and development framework for a site or area. Our Design Codes can be used for complex to smaller projects, including self build development. They can support development proposals or allocations in neighbourhood plans.
