Master Land & Planning were instructed in late 2024 to prepare and submit a full planning application for the ‘demolition of existing industrial/commercial units and the erection of two dwellings’. Planning permission was successfully secured in March 2026, following a lengthy process to address groundwater, drainage, and nutrient constraints.
The permission to redevelop this brownfield site in the North Wessex Downs National Landscape followed a Pre-Application Enquiry in 2022 to seek the Councils initial views on the erection of 3 dwellings. This feedback set a framework for preparing the full application in order to ensure that the scheme addressed the main concerns raised.
The two approved 3-bed ‘chalet style’ dwellings are situated on a generous sized plot, comprising a mixture of plain clay roof tiles, red brick, and horizontal timber cladding. Internally each dwelling hosts a large kitchen and family area, a lounge, and a bedroom and en-suite at ground floor level, with two bedrooms and two en-suites at first floor level. Both dwellings will help contribute towards the housing needs within Wiltshire.
MLP were delighted to work closely with Tuttles Architectural Services (Architects), SDS Consulting (Drainage), Condon Drew Associates (Highways) in particular to address outstanding constraints throughout the planning process.
