The Dilton Marsh Neighbourhood Plan will now form part of the development plan for Wiltshire following a successful referendum held on 25th September 2025.
Master Land & Planning Ltd were instructed by the Parish Council in summer 2022 following a hiatus to the progression of their draft neighbourhood plan that began in 2017. MLP were appointed as lead consultants to prepare the Draft Plan for the Regulation 14 consultation and thereafter for the Regulation 15 Submission to Wiltshire Council. Support continued to the Parish Council through the Examination process with assistance in responding to the Examiner’s questions. We prepared:
- Consultation Strategy.
- Site Assessment Report and community engagement on housing site options.
- Topic Papers covering Site Selection, Local Green Space, Non-Designated Heritage Assets, and Local Green Space.
- Character Assessment
- The Draft Plan
- Basic Conditions Statement
- Consultation Statement
The declared result was 393 votes in favour and 36 against the question “Do you want Wiltshire Council to use the Neighbourhood Development Plan for Dilton Marsh to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?”
