Hart District Council is preparing a new Local Plan to guide the future development of the area. They have reached the stage where they consult on ‘Proposed Content and Evidence’ – a Regulation 23 Consultation.
This is an early opportunity to submit comments on a range of matters including a draft vision, their broad approach to meeting development needs, development site options, what the plan policies should cover, and the supporting evidence.
This consultation is open until 11.59pm on 7th December 2026.
Local Plan consultations are critically important as it provides developers and landowners the opportunity to promote sites for development to be considered for inclusion in the new Local Plan. The Council is a constrained LPA, where a balance has to be struck between ensuring the continuing need for sustainable growth with environmental assets.
