Master Land & Planning were instructed by the landowner in 2023 to promote their 0.55ha site for residential development in Hungerford. Following a successful call-for-sites submission, the Town Council included the land within their draft Neighbourhood Plan as an allocation for 12 dwellings. The draft allocation was recently confirmed by the Examiner of the Hungerford Neighbourhood Plan, that has passed a successful referendum on 27 November.
It is our client’s aspiration that the residential scheme is sensitively designed that will deliver a mixture of homes that help to alleviate housing demand pressures. Very importantly, a development such as this will also deliver much needed affordable housing. This includes properties for low costs and shared equity ownership, allowing local people to get a foot on the housing ladder, which in the current climate is very difficult.
