MLP have successfully secured planning permission for a large two two-storey extension at a thatched cottage in a Wiltshire Village.
The permission followed a previously dismissed Appeal for a similar scheme. Working with Tuttle Architectural Services we advised on a change of design and materials to reflect concerns over scale and form, resulting in a scheme that was described by the Planning Officer to be a ‘significant improvement, in keeping with the existing dwelling’.
The extension allows for the reconfiguration of the ground floor, providing a generous new kitchen diner, and a new master bedroom and ensuite on the 1st floor. Permission was also granted for a new 3 bay garage and home office above.
