Master Land & Planning were pleased to attend the committee of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead for an application for full planning permission to convert disused agricultural buildings to commercial use in the green belt.
Though the application had been called to committee by the local ward councillor, the objections quickly fell away and the committee were able to unanimously support the Case Officer’s recommendation of approval.
The application was retrospective, and was needed following contact from the Council’s Planning Enforcement team. Following two previous unsuccessful attempts, the client reached out to MLP to get involved and we were delighted to help. We were able to rectify the issues that the Council highlighted with the previous submissions, which then enabled the positive recommendation.
The conversion supports two local small businesses, one providing a beauty service, the other making and selling baked goods at local markets. The development will have significant economic benefits to those involved, and as a rural diversification will help to keep farming alive in the location where our clients have been farming for 70 years.
